Independence, MO — Lucas Kunce has earned the endorsement of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE).
AFGE represents thousands of workers in Missouri and hundreds of thousands nationwide who serve our nation’s veterans, protect our national security, and take care of our seniors at agencies like the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Social Security Administration, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security.
“AFGE is the bulwark that stands between corporate elites and the dismantling of so many critical services and union jobs that are essential to the American way of life,” said Kunce. “I’m proud to be backed by the hardworking Missourians who serve our veterans, our seniors, and our national security. In the U.S. Senate, I’ll fight like hell against the corrupt politicians and giant corporations who want to privatize and gut the essential work they do for our country.”
AFGE joins a growing coalition of support from organized labor for Lucas Kunce, including the Missouri AFL-CIO, the Missouri Fire Fighters (Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters, MSCFF), SEIU, MO State Council of Machinists, the St. Louis Building and Construction Trades Council, the Greater Kansas City Building and Construction Trades Council, UFCW Local 655 (Missouri’s largest private-sector local union), Pipe Fitters 533, IBEW Local 124, Iron Workers Local 10, Insulators Local 63, Roofers Local 2, Insulators Local 1, Roofers Local 20, Sprinkler Fitters Local 268, Bricklayers Local 1, Tilesetters Local 18, Iron Workers Local 396, and more.
